What are some of the benefits of writing your own book? Let’s recap the basics, starting with more non-fiction oriented benefits and moving into higher-level fiction writing benefits later in this article.

Benefit 1: Career Prospects and Authority

Not everybody respects book authors. Yet – most do:

“Publishing a book is still a powerful authority signal: one survey found that 75% of people view professionals as more qualified thought leaders when they have authored a book, while broader B2B research shows that 73% of buyers trust thought leadership more than traditional marketing when judging expertise.” – ChatGPT Deep Research

Publishing an authority book can be viewed as rocket fuel for your career – especially if book writing is not your main job but you’re doing it on the side.

It’s a classic positive expected-value activity:

Some will respect you more for having written a book on the side.

Some will respect you much more.

And the rest will respect you the same.

Nobody will respect you less.

Now you may ask: How can it help me in my specific career?

Well, it might help you get a better job or get respected more in your current job/business.

Story: A friend of mine one day decided to coauthor a technical authority book about an engineering-related topic he was interested in (on the side). At the time, he was working a job in the social sector. The book was the key trust element that got him the exact dream job position at the company creating the engineering tool he was writing about. He loves his new job more and earns twice the income. The book was a major element of this success story – he may not have gotten the job without the book.

For example, say you publish books in your area of expertise, build authority, and ultimately lift your income by only 20% as a first- or second-order consequence. The average salary in the US is roughly $60k, so +20% creates an additional +$12k per year. Investing that additional +$12k/y into an index fund yielding 9% p.a. results in a nice additional nest egg of $613k after 20 years.

The compounding effects of book writing can be magical! Of course this carries a few assumptions but nothing too unrealistic: 9% annual yield, a one-time 20% salary boost by building authority in your field, that’s about it.

And also please note that I didn’t even mention the immediate first-order cash flow your book might generate passively on Amazon KDP, for instance.

How can you publish a book – or multiple books – in your area of expertise?

Well, just get started writing a draft with a non-fiction engine.

You can edit the book in a Word document and include your own stories, so it becomes yours.

I know you will find that the quality of your generated book is surprisingly high. Paying the equivalent of a coffee at Starbucks to become a (published) author is not too heavy a burden.

You could be a published author this week!

Benefit 2: Personal Development + Learning

If you want to master any subject, write about it. Not enough time? The next best thing is to prompt AI to write about it – then read what it wrote.

This way, you can generate books about your weird fringe interests to learn about hyper-individualized subjects such as:

How to Get Yourself to Bed as a Mom (33) When Nighttime Is the Only Time You Feel Free

How to Run a Household Where Everyone Eats Differently Without Cooking Four Dinners

How to Become Socially Fluent When You’re Already Smart but Somehow Weird in Groups

How to Prepare for a Nuclear Conflict in Stockholm/Sweden

Tailor-Made Diet Recommendations for 36-Year-Old Men with IBS and Skin Problems

You get the point, it could become even more specific like ‘Understanding Thermodynamics as a 43-Year-Old Working in Elderly Care’.

These books don’t exist but you can write them easily – one or even all of them – and own the rights to publish or consume them. Producing such a highly personalized book with ImagineYourBook might be even cheaper than ordering it on Amazon!

Benefit 3: Bragging Rights

I didn’t want to leave this unnamed.

Yeah, it’s not super sophisticated but I know that many people will publish books just so they can identify as authors.

While I didn’t build a first-class book-writing engine to fulfill people’s needs for external validation, I still know that many will use it exactly for that reason.

I will not judge you for maximizing your well-deserved bragging rights.

Benefit 4: Self-Actualization, Fiction, and Travel

Let’s not go there too deeply – but what if your basic needs are already satisfied? What if you already have money, status, and you don’t need to learn new random stuff or monetize books?

In that case, you’re probably an avid fiction reader yourself. You might even have some novel ideas or need to read certain types of fiction books that you may not easily find on Amazon.

For example, I’ve always loved “The Talented Mr. Ripley”-style stories. I love the Mediterranean and go there regularly with my family. With ImagineYourBook, I can now generate exactly the fiction book I want, set in the vacation area I’m currently visiting. For instance, I can learn local history, culture, and what great places to visit by reading a crime novel set in a small village on the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Write your travel guide fiction book with our engine

Benefit 5: Fun and Play

Last but not least, the best thing about AI is that it allows us to produce fun little things quickly and fool around.

You can write stories with your loved ones as protagonists and their specific character traits. You can write what-if stories changing physical laws such as gravity. You can write stories about your own childhood. You can invent stories that play like live games as you read through them.

Your imagination is now the only limit.

Imagine Your Book!

Want to write a book faster? You probably want to stay organized and keep your ideas clear, too.

AI book writers now play a real role for authors in 2026. These tools have improved, and you’ve got more options than ever.

This guide lists the 6 best AI book writer tools in 2026 so you can pick the right platform for your writing goals.

You’ll see how ImagineYourBook.com, Sudowrite, Claude, Novelcrafter, Jasper AI, and NovelAI compare. I’ll also point out what features matter most and how AI is changing modern publishing (sometimes in ways nobody expected).

1. ImagineYourBook.com

ImagineYourBook.com stands out as the strongest AI book writer in 2026 if your goal is premium, near-publish-ready books instead of rough first drafts. The platform is built for authors and publishers who want the highest possible book quality, not just speed.

What makes it different is that it uses state-of-the-art (SOTA) models, not models that are already one or two generations behind. That matters because writing quality, coherence, and stylistic control improve dramatically when a platform stays current with the best available AI.

Here’s a series of books that have been generated with this AI book writer:

But the real advantage goes deeper than model choice. ImagineYourBook.com is designed as a full end-to-end book generation system. It does not just generate isolated chapters. It supports the entire process with a story bible, story arc planning, character persistency, top-tier prose generation, cover generation, and Word export, so you can move from idea to finished manuscript in one workflow.

Its biggest quality advantage comes from how it handles context. Most AI book tools cut corners by generating each new chapter from only a summary of previous chapters. That approach saves tokens, but it weakens the final book. Important details get lost. Character voices drift. Repetition increases. Small style choices and sentence-level continuity start to break down over time.

ImagineYourBook.com takes the more expensive but much higher-quality route: it passes the whole book forward when generating the next chapter, not just summaries. That means the AI keeps track of the manuscript at a much deeper level. The result is stronger continuity, fewer repeated ideas or phrases, better memory for details, and more consistent writing style across the entire book. Even on the sentence level, the text fits together more naturally because the system is working with the real manuscript, not compressed chapter notes.

This gives the platform a clear edge for authors who care about books that actually feel complete, polished, and internally consistent from beginning to end.

Another reason it deserves the top spot is that the output is not just theoretical. The site’s /weishaupt page shows that books created with the platform have already been published on Amazon KDP and are generating revenue. That is an important proof point. Many AI book tools promise results, but ImagineYourBook.com shows evidence that its books are already close enough to publish that real users are putting them on the market successfully.

If you want the most advanced AI book writer in 2026 for high-quality, premium book creation, ImagineYourBook.com is the tool to beat.

Disclaimer: As we are the tool creators, we may be biased. But we tried many other tools and found them frustrating. This is what we aimed to solve with our premium AI book writer.

2. Sudowrite

Sudowrite is all about fiction. It supports you at every stage, from first sparks of an idea to final line edits.

The platform uses a model built for storytelling. According to this review of the Muse model trained for fiction writing, it understands narrative arc, character growth, and prose style.

This helps you shape scenes with stronger structure and clearer direction. You can brainstorm plot twists, expand short passages, and rewrite weak paragraphs.

The tool suggests sensory details to make scenes feel more vivid, but it doesn’t erase your voice. One standout feature is its Story Bible.

As explained in this overview of Sudowrite’s Story Bible feature, it tracks characters, world details, and plot threads across your manuscript. This helps you avoid continuity errors in long projects or series.

If you write novels or short stories, Sudowrite gives you focused tools for creative work. It’s not just another generic content writer.

3. Claude

Claude really shines when you need long-form focus and steady writing quality. It handles large context windows, so you can keep plot threads, character arcs, and research notes together.

That makes it useful for full-length books. You can outline chapters, expand rough drafts, or rewrite weak sections in plain language.

Claude tends to follow instructions closely. That helps when you want to set tone, pacing, or point of view. You’re still in control of style and direction.

Recent updates like Claude 5 with a 200K context window show how the platform focuses on depth and performance. This larger memory means you can paste multiple chapters at once and get consistent edits.

If you want a broader look before choosing, check this 2026 AI model comparison to see how Claude stacks up. That context helps you decide if it fits your workflow.

Claude works best as a writing partner. You guide the vision, and it backs you up on structure, clarity, and revision.

4. Novelcrafter

Novelcrafter gives you strong control over story structure. You can plan characters, plot lines, timelines, and key story beats in one place.

This keeps long projects clear and organized. Many writers see it as a full planning system, not just a text generator.

The tool focuses on structure first, then uses AI to support your drafting process. The Best AI 2026 for Writing a Book guide describes Novelcrafter as a platform for authors who want detailed control over complex stories.

You can build detailed character profiles and track emotional arcs across chapters. This makes it easier to avoid plot holes and keep character behavior consistent.

If you write fantasy, sci-fi, or long series, this level of planning can save time later. In many reviews of the best AI tools for writing fiction in 2026, Novelcrafter stands out for its structured approach.

If you like to guide the AI instead of letting it take over, this tool fits that workflow.

5. Jasper AI

Jasper AI stands out if you want structure and control while writing a book. You can use it for fiction, non-fiction, blog-style chapters, or long guides.

It works well when you need steady output and clear organization. Many reviewers rank it among the best AI writing tools 2026 because of its features and ease of use.

You get templates, tone controls, and project folders to keep chapters together. This helps you manage big drafts without losing track of ideas.

Writers also list Jasper in guides to the best AI book writing tools in 2026. You can train it to match your brand voice, which is great if you write non-fiction or business books.

The interface feels clean and direct. Jasper works best when you give clear prompts and outlines. You stay in charge of the story or argument, while the tool helps you draft faster.

6. NovelAI

NovelAI gives you strong control over story style and tone. You can guide the AI to match your voice and shape scenes how you want.

This is useful for fiction writers who care about consistency. Many reviews list it among the top AI novel writing software in 2026.

Writers often praise its clean interface and focus on storytelling. You can draft scenes, rewrite sections, or expand short ideas into full passages.

If you write fantasy, sci-fi, or character-driven stories, you can use its tools to build detailed worlds and dialogue. The system keeps track of story context, so you stay on plot.

You still need to review and edit, but it can speed up early drafts. Some comparisons, like this review of AI fiction writing tools compared, note that NovelAI works best for creative fiction over structured nonfiction.

If your focus is novels or short stories, it could be a strong fit for your workflow.

Key Features to Consider in 2026

You need more than a tool that can simply generate words. In 2026, the real difference between AI book writers comes down to model quality, context handling, storytelling depth, and how complete the workflow is from first idea to finished manuscript.

One of the biggest factors is model quality. Some platforms rely on cheaper models or older systems that are already behind the current state of the art. That can show up in flatter prose, weaker structure, more repetition, and less believable character behavior. Premium tools like ImagineYourBook.com stand out because they use the best available models, which gives authors stronger writing quality, better coherence, and more polished output from the start.

Another major feature is context memory. Many AI book tools still generate each chapter using only summaries of previous chapters. That saves cost, but it also weakens continuity. The AI can lose track of details, repeat itself, or drift in tone and style. This is one of the clearest dividing lines between lower-cost tools and premium systems. ImagineYourBook.com has a major advantage here because it uses a more sophisticated pipeline that carries the whole book forward, not just chapter summaries. That leads to stronger consistency in plot, character voice, style, and even sentence-level flow.

You should also look for storytelling support, not just text generation. Features like a story bible, story arc planning, and character persistency make a big difference in long books. Without them, you spend more time fixing continuity problems later. Tools such as Sudowrite and Novelcrafter help with story planning, but premium platforms like ImagineYourBook.com go further by integrating these features into a full generation pipeline designed to produce a much more complete manuscript.

It also helps to choose a platform with an end-to-end workflow. Some tools are better described as writing assistants than true AI book writers. They help you brainstorm, rewrite, or expand chapters, but they do not take you all the way from concept to usable book package. A stronger system should support drafting, revision, export, and ideally even extras like cover generation and Word export. That reduces friction and makes the path to publishing much faster.

Finally, think about the actual quality of the final output. Some tools are good for experimentation, rough drafts, or creative play. Others are built for books that are much closer to publication quality. That is where premium positioning matters. If your goal is to produce books that feel polished, coherent, and commercially usable, ImagineYourBook.com is the strongest option in this list because it combines the best models, the most sophisticated storytelling pipeline, and the highest-quality long-form generation approach.

The best tool depends on your goal. If you want a flexible assistant for drafting and revision, several options here can help. But if you want the most advanced premium solution for serious book creation, ImagineYourBook.com is in a different tier.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best AI book writer tools in 2026?

The strongest options in 2026 are ImagineYourBook.com, Sudowrite, Claude, Novelcrafter, Jasper AI, and NovelAI. Each tool serves a slightly different type of writer. Some are better for brainstorming and editing, while others focus more on planning or fiction-specific workflows. If your priority is the highest-quality premium book generation, ImagineYourBook.com stands out as the top choice.

Which AI book writer creates the highest-quality books?

If quality is your main priority, ImagineYourBook.com is the strongest option on this list. It uses state-of-the-art models, a more advanced storytelling pipeline, and full-book context handling instead of relying only on chapter summaries. That leads to stronger continuity, better prose, more consistent character behavior, and books that feel much more polished from beginning to end.

What makes one AI book writer better than another?

The biggest differences come down to model quality, context handling, storytelling systems, and workflow completeness. Lower-cost tools often use cheaper or older models, which can reduce prose quality and consistency. Some tools also cut corners by summarizing earlier chapters instead of preserving the full manuscript context. Premium tools like ImagineYourBook.com invest more in generation quality, which shows up in the final book.

Are AI-generated books publishable?

Yes, AI-assisted books can absolutely be published. The real question is how much editing they need before they are ready. Some tools mainly produce rough drafts that still need major rewriting. Others get much closer to a publishable standard. ImagineYourBook.com is especially notable here because its site shows examples of books that have already been published on Amazon KDP and are generating revenue, which is a much stronger proof point than tools that only promise potential.

Which AI book writer is best for fiction?

That depends on what kind of fiction workflow you want. Sudowrite is strong for fiction-focused brainstorming and scene work. Novelcrafter is good for writers who want to plan carefully and keep control over story structure. NovelAI can be useful for style-driven fiction experiments. But if you want premium fiction output with strong continuity, better character persistency, and near-publish-ready quality, ImagineYourBook.com is the most advanced option here.

Which AI book writer is best for complete end-to-end book creation?

Most tools on this list work best as assistants. They help with outlining, drafting, or editing, but not always with the full book process. ImagineYourBook.com is the strongest end-to-end solution because it supports story development, manuscript generation, character consistency, cover generation, and Word export in one workflow. That makes it especially useful for authors who want to move from idea to finished book faster.

Do cheaper AI book tools produce lower-quality writing?

In many cases, yes. Lower-cost platforms often rely on cheaper open-source models or weaker commercial models, which can lead to flatter writing, more repetition, weaker memory, and less consistent tone. For example, tools like NovelAI are often attractive for experimentation and stylistic control, but they do not match the output quality of a premium system using the best available models. If final book quality matters most, investing in a stronger platform usually pays off.

Is Claude or Jasper enough to write a full book?

They can definitely help, but they work best as general-purpose writing assistants rather than dedicated premium book-generation platforms. Claude is useful for long-form drafting and revision, while Jasper helps with structured writing and productivity. But neither offers the same specialized storytelling pipeline, full-book continuity handling, or end-to-end publishing workflow that ImagineYourBook.com provides.

What should I look for before choosing an AI book writer?

Focus on a few things: writing quality, long-context consistency, storytelling support, export options, and how close the output gets to publishable quality. If you only need help brainstorming or drafting, several tools can work. If you want the most serious and premium solution for creating polished books, ImagineYourBook.com is the clear best fit.

Look, if you’re a data or AI nerd, your biggest enemy isn’t the competition. It’s the fact that your brain has way too many tabs open at once.

You’re probably sitting there thinking about building some massive ML model or a deep diagnostic tool, and meanwhile, you end up stuck in “builder mode” forever. Nothing actually hits the market this month because you’re too busy making it perfect.

Also, let’s be real. Working for yourself is a total trap. Without a boss or a team breathing down your neck, “I’ll finish this by Tuesday” easily turns into “I’ll get to it eventually.”

The “Right Now” Strategy

If you want to make money this month, stop selling “AI.” Nobody actually wants to buy AI. They want to buy more money.

The easiest thing to sell is Lead Gen. Every business on earth is obsessed with getting more inbound leads and more calls on the calendar. Instead of pitching them a complex automation workflow, just tell them you’ll get them qualified meetings using your custom data stack.

You use the AI tools behind the scenes to do the heavy lifting, like outreach or content pipelines, but you keep the pitch simple and business-friendly.

How to actually start

Pick ONE thing: One niche, like HVAC companies or SaaS startups, and one channel like X or Reddit.

Run a 30-day sprint: Do a low-cost or free pilot for one person just to get a glowing testimonial.

Stop drifting: Use an accountability loop. If you don’t tell someone what you’re shipping this week, you probably won’t ship it.

Here’s a simple 4-step process that works for me – shipping dozens of projects in the last few months:

1. Pick one small project. Keep it tiny and real:

Simple static website, calculator, value proposition, or

Tiny web app with one core feature

2. Set up once

Create a GitHub repo

(Optional) Connect GitHub to a host (Heroku/Netlify/Vercel – I use Heroku) so every push auto-deploys.

3. Make a tiny-task list. Create a Google Sheet with small, 1-hour tasks, e.g.:

Add an about page

Improve mobile layout

Add Google Analytics

Change theme color and styles

Add a contact form

4. Your daily 1-hour habit. Each day:

Pick one task

Ask the Codex agent to implement it (in natural language)

Test, tweak, iterate, commit, push

You’re not hand-coding everything – you’re simply orchestrating AI. Do this CONSISTENTLY for a month and you’ll be amazed how much you’ve shipped.

I’ve always believed small steps can make a big impact, especially when it comes to self-growth. Whether I’m trying to stay motivated, build better habits, or just find a new sense of purpose, self-help books have a way of sparking change.

Free self-help audiobooks on Audible make it easier than ever to learn and grow without spending a dime.

I put together a list of inspiring titles that focus on confidence, mindset, creativity, and purpose—all available to listen to at no cost. With these picks, I can learn from great authors while driving, walking, or just relaxing at home.

It’s a simple way to get insight and motivation anytime, anywhere.

10) Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers

I first picked up Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway when I wanted something practical to help me face uncertainty. Susan Jeffers keeps things simple and honest, which makes the ideas easy to follow.

She reminds me that fear never really goes away, but I can move ahead anyway. The book focuses on taking action even when I don’t feel ready.

It’s not about being fearless. It’s about realizing that fear is normal.

Jeffers shares real stories and clear steps that helped me see my confidence grow one small decision at a time. I like that her message is direct but encouraging.

She helps me stop waiting for courage to appear and start applying it in daily life. You can check out the Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway audiobook on Audible if you’d rather listen than read.

The tone feels like a personal pep talk from someone who understands fear but refuses to let it run the show.

9) The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz

I first listened to The Four Agreements because I kept hearing people talk about how simple but useful it is. Don Miguel Ruiz, a Mexican author and spiritual teacher, shares lessons based on ancient Toltec wisdom.

The book breaks things down into four clear ideas that guide how we think and act each day. I like how Ruiz keeps it straightforward without heavy philosophy.

Each agreement focuses on personal responsibility and awareness, which makes the advice easy to use in daily life. It’s not about changing who you are but about noticing how old habits shape you.

You can find The Four Agreements on Audible and listen for free with a trial. The audiobook’s calm tone and practical approach make it a good listen during a commute or walk.

It’s short and simple. I always end up thinking about how I talk to myself and others after listening.

8) Mindset by Carol S. Dweck

I listened to Mindset by Carol S. Dweck and found it both simple and eye-opening. Dweck, a psychologist known for her work on motivation, explains how our beliefs about our abilities can shape success and learning.

The main idea is pretty clear—if I believe I can grow and improve, I usually do. What I liked is how the book uses real-life examples from sports, education, and business.

It helped me see how a “growth mindset” can make a big difference in how I handle challenges. The stories made the research easier to understand and more relatable.

The audiobook version, available on Audible, has a calm narration that kept me engaged. It’s not too heavy or academic, so I could follow along while doing other things.

If you’re into personal development or want to shift how you think about effort and talent, it’s worth your time. I came away reflecting on my own habits and how I react when things get tough.

7) Start with Why by Simon Sinek

I first came across Start with Why while browsing leadership titles, and it immediately stood out. Simon Sinek’s idea is simple but useful—great leaders and organizations start by understanding their “why” before anything else.

That core purpose drives everything they do, from decisions to communication. I liked how Sinek explains his concept using real-world examples of leaders and companies that inspire others.

According to the official book page, he shows how thinking, acting, and communicating from the inside out can build trust and loyalty. It’s not theory-heavy, but it does make you think about your own motivation.

You can find Start with Why as an audiobook on Audible, which makes it easy to listen during a commute or a walk. I found the tone positive without being preachy, and Sinek’s delivery keeps it engaging.

If you want to spark more purpose in your life or work, it’s a good listen.

6) Daring Greatly by Brené Brown

I picked up Daring Greatly because I’d heard so many people talk about how it changed the way they see courage and vulnerability. The book turned out to be a thoughtful guide that helps me understand why being open and honest can actually make me stronger, not weaker.

It focuses on how showing up, even when I can’t control the outcome, takes real bravery. Listening to it on Audible felt personal since Brené’s storytelling makes big ideas easy to get.

She brings research and real-life stories together in a way that feels friendly, not academic. The book first came out in 2012 and became a global hit for good reason—it’s clear, relatable, and deeply human.

What really stuck with me was her point that vulnerability is about connection, not perfection. It’s a reminder that courage starts when I’m willing to be seen as I am.

If you want to understand how vulnerability shapes the way we live, love, work, and lead, Daring Greatly on Audible is a good place to start.

5) You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero

I listened to You Are a Badass when I needed a push to stop doubting myself. Jen Sincero mixes humor with honest talk about confidence, mindset, and success.

I liked how she shares her own stories instead of just giving advice. It made the book feel personal and real.

The audiobook includes simple ideas I could actually use. It focuses on changing habits, setting goals, and believing in my ability to create change.

Sincero’s straightforward style helped me see that self-improvement doesn’t have to be boring or overly serious. I first found out about it through Audible’s free audiobook page, which made it easy to start listening right away.

For a deeper look, I also read through this detailed review on Books for Greatness that breaks down key lessons from the book. Both helped me understand the mix of humor and motivation that makes Sincero’s work stand out.

4) The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson

I first came across this book when I wanted something more honest than the usual “think positive” advice. Mark Manson’s The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck takes a blunt, funny approach to personal growth.

He doesn’t preach constant optimism. Instead, he focuses on accepting life’s problems and choosing what really deserves our attention.

I like how Manson reminds me that trying to care about everything only leads to stress. He makes it clear that life’s struggles have meaning.

The idea is simple but real—stop wasting time on things that don’t matter. This audiobook stands out because it feels like a conversation, not a lecture.

The pacing and tone keep it easy to listen to. Whether I’m walking or commuting, the mix of humor and truth keeps me engaged.

It’s free to stream on some platforms like Hoopla’s audiobook listing. If you want something direct and refreshingly real, this one’s worth adding to your library.

3) Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

I listened to Big Magic on Audible when I needed a creative boost. Elizabeth Gilbert talks about fear and creativity in a down-to-earth way that feels honest and encouraging.

She shares how ideas can show up unexpectedly. We can either welcome them or just let them pass by.

Her belief that fear always tags along when we try something new really stuck with me. But she insists it doesn’t get to be in charge, which makes sense.

The stories from her own writing life make that lesson easy to remember. If you want to check it out, Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear is on Audible.

You’ll also find details on Penguin Random House’s page. It’s a quick listen that reminds me creativity doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs practice.

2) Atomic Habits by James Clear

I listened to Atomic Habits on Audible after everyone kept recommending it. James Clear breaks down how tiny, consistent improvements can lead to big changes over time.

The audiobook flows well. His examples make the ideas easy to follow.

He explains the four laws of behavior change in simple steps. The focus is on making habits obvious, attractive, easy, and satisfying.

The advice feels practical, not just motivational fluff. If you’re curious, you can check out Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones on Amazon.

You can also learn more on the author’s website. It’s a great listen if you want something that actually helps you make small, steady progress in daily life.

1) The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle

I first came across The Power of Now while browsing for something calming to listen to during a long commute. The audiobook, narrated by Eckhart Tolle himself, feels slow and thoughtful.

It’s almost like a guided meditation rather than a typical self-help lecture. His calm voice makes it easier to focus on the message about being present.

Tolle breaks down big ideas into simple points about awareness and the mind. He talks about letting go of constant worry over the past and future, which really hit home for me.

The book draws from ideas found in Buddhism and other spiritual teachings. The focus is on living in the moment and noticing how the ego creates stress.

You can also find The Power of Now on YouTube as a full audiobook. Or check it out on Amazon’s Audible store.

It’s a peaceful listen when I need to slow down and get out of my head.

Why Choose Free Self Help Books on Audible?

I like free self help audiobooks on Audible because they make personal growth easy and affordable. They let me improve my mindset, habits, and confidence without spending money or hunting for extra time.

Accessibility for Everyone

Free self help books on Audible remove one big barrier: cost. Lots of people want to learn about motivation, confidence, or better communication but can’t always pay for new audiobooks.

Audible often offers free titles for new users. That makes these helpful books available to anyone with a smartphone or computer.

I like that access is instant and simple. Once I sign up or log in, I can download a book within minutes.

No waiting, no shipping, no trip to a bookstore. The platform supports people with visual challenges or those who just prefer listening.

Spoken-word audiobooks create a smoother experience, especially when I want to focus on ideas instead of text. Free access also means I can test different authors and approaches before deciding which ones resonate with me.

Whether it’s learning habits from a bestselling author or exploring emotional health topics, that freedom matters.

Learning on the Go

Listening to free self help books lets me turn idle time into learning time. I can absorb ideas while driving, cooking, or exercising.

I’ve found this flexibility helps new concepts stick because I can reflect while doing daily routines. Audible’s app is built for convenience and lets me pause, rewind, or bookmark chapters.

Many top-rated Audible titles include summaries or chapter markers. It’s easy to pick up where I left off.

This kind of learning fits my lifestyle. I don’t need to carve out quiet reading hours or carry heavy books.

With just my phone and earbuds, I can stay consistent with my personal growth goals, even on my busiest days.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of Audiobooks

I stay more focused and learn better when I plan how I listen. Paying attention with intent and building solid routines helps me turn audiobooks into real learning tools instead of background noise.

Active Listening Strategies

I’ve learned that active listening means doing more than just pressing play. I like to keep a small notebook or notes app open so I can jot down key ideas or quotes that stand out.

This helps me stay engaged and remember what I heard. When I listen, I sometimes pause every few chapters to think about what I just learned.

If I zone out, I rewind a minute or two. This small habit keeps me connected to the story or lesson and avoids missing important points.

I also test myself with short recaps. After finishing a chapter, I try to sum it up in one or two sentences.

Doing so keeps me involved and shows whether I actually understood the material. For audiobooks on self-help, I try to listen when my mind is fresh, like on morning walks or drives.

If I’m tired or distracted, I hold off until I can give my full attention.

Tip

Why It Helps

Take notes

Reinforces learning

Pause and reflect

Improves memory

Listen when alert

Ensures focus

Building a Listening Routine

I used to listen randomly. But honestly, setting a consistent time each day has made a bigger difference than I expected.

Most mornings, I carve out 20 or 30 minutes just for listening. No interruptions. That routine makes it feel natural instead of something I have to force myself to do.

Before I start, I plan what I want to hear next. Usually, I throw together a short playlist or queue from Audible’s self-help section.

That way, I don’t waste time scrolling when I’m actually ready to listen.

For longer audiobooks, I set small daily goals. I’ll try to finish a chapter per session.

That keeps me motivated. I don’t feel rushed to get through it all at once.

I like to listen while I’m cleaning, walking, or even cooking. It turns downtime into something useful, but it never feels like I’m overloading myself with multitasking.

Keeping it flexible really helps. Audiobooks have become a regular part of my day, and honestly, it just fits how I live.

Managing an investment portfolio doesn’t have to cost a dime. There are many free portfolio trackers that let you monitor stocks, cryptocurrencies, and other assets without paywalls or subscription upgrades.

Below we highlight 10 of the best truly free portfolio tracking tools.

Each offers a mix of features, covering common asset types like stocks and crypto, and all are usable without any premium upgrade. We’ll break down the strengths and weaknesses of each so you can choose the tool that fits your needs.

1. PortfolioTracker24

PortfolioTracker24 is a minimalist online portfolio tracker that emphasizes privacy and simplicity. It’s completely web-based and does not require any sign-up.

Strengths: PortfolioTracker24 stores no user data on any server, keeping everything local to your device (Reddit). This means your portfolio info never leaves your computer, enhancing privacy. It supports importing and exporting your trades via Excel spreadsheets, so you can back up or bulk-update your holdings easily.

The interface follows a “less is more” philosophy, offering a clean, distraction-free way to input stocks or crypto holdings and see your gains/losses in real time. Because it’s lightweight and free, there are no ads or upsells—just straightforward portfolio tracking.

Weaknesses: The flip side of its simplicity is that PortfolioTracker24 lacks some advanced features. You won’t find automatic brokerage syncing or live bank connections here – all entries are manual (or via spreadsheet import).

While this manual approach protects your data, it requires you to update transactions yourself. It also doesn’t provide deep analytic tools or news integrations; it’s mainly for tracking performance.

For users who want multi-device access, note that data is stored locally, so you’ll need to export/import if switching devices.

In short, power users seeking extensive features or hands-off automation might find it basic, but that’s the trade-off for ultimate privacy and free usage.

2. Yahoo Finance Portfolio

Yahoo Finance has one of the most popular free portfolio trackers, available on the web and mobile app. With a Yahoo account, investors can create multiple portfolios, add stocks, ETFs, cryptocurrencies, and more, and get instant snapshots of performance.

Strengths: Yahoo Finance’s tracker is easy to use and completely free. It features a simple design where you can quickly add holdings and watchlists, and it automatically calculates metrics like daily gain and total overall gain (Yahoo Finance).

It covers a wide range of assets: stocks, indices, commodities, bonds, currencies, and crypto prices are all available, making it useful for a diversified portfolio. The platform also integrates news and basic research – you can click on any holding to see detailed quotes, charts, and news headlines. Another plus is its broad user base and support; being a longstanding tool, it’s stable and reliable.

There’s even an option to sync with certain brokerage accounts for automatic updates (Investopedia), and if not, you can manually input purchase dates and costs to track performance and cost basis.

Overall, Yahoo Finance gives retail investors a convenient one-stop dashboard for monitoring investments with real-time quotes and without ever paying for a premium plan.

Weaknesses: Despite its convenience, Yahoo’s portfolio tracker has some limitations. Notably, it does not automatically track dividends or other corporate actions (Sharesight Blog).

For example, if you own dividend-paying stocks, Yahoo will only show your price changes; you’d have to manually add dividend payouts as transactions to reflect true total returns. The performance calculations therefore focus mainly on price gains and ignore income, which can give an incomplete picture.

Similarly, if you hold foreign stocks or multiple currencies, Yahoo’s tracker doesn’t factor in currency exchange impacts on returns (Sharesight Blog).

In general, advanced portfolio analytics (like asset allocation breakdowns, benchmarking, or risk metrics) are absent in the free Yahoo tool. It’s best used for basic tracking rather than in-depth analysis.

Finally, while the interface is simple, it’s also a bit dated and loaded with ads (on the free version web interface). Users looking for richer analysis or more polished visuals might find Yahoo Finance a bit too rudimentary for their needs.

3. Google Sheets (DIY Portfolio Tracker)

For investors who prefer full control, Google Sheets offers a free and highly flexible way to track a portfolio. Using Google’s spreadsheet with the built-in
GOOGLEFINANCE
function, you can pull live market data and customize everything to your liking.

Strengths: Customizability is the biggest draw. Google Sheets is highly customizable, allowing you to create a portfolio tracker tailored to your needs, and it’s free to use and accessible from anywhere (10 Alternatives to Morningstar to Track Your Portfolio for Free).

You can set up sheets to track stocks, ETFs, crypto prices, or any asset by pulling data from Google Finance or other APIs. This means you decide how to display your portfolio – be it simple lists or complex dashboards with asset allocation pie charts, performance graphs, etc.

Many free templates exist for Google Sheets that provide ready-made tracking solutions, or you can build your own. Another strength is that Sheets can fetch real-time or near-real-time prices for many stocks and currencies, and update automatically, so you always have current values. It also supports calculations for performance, dividends (if you input them), and can even incorporate Google Finance’s historical data for trend analysis.

Because it’s a spreadsheet, the possibilities for analysis (IRR, XIRR, asset weighting, etc.) are endless if you have the know-how. All data stays in your Google account, and you can access your portfolio from any device with internet. And of course, it’s completely free with no premium tier – Google provides this functionality as part of Google Drive.

Weaknesses: The power of Google Sheets can also be a downside: it’s manual and requires some spreadsheet skill to set up.

Unlike dedicated apps, you won’t get a polished interface or one-click portfolio import. Initial setup can be tedious – you’ll need to input your transactions or number of shares and ensure the formulas are correct. While Google Finance covers many stocks and ETFs, its coverage of cryptocurrencies is limited (it supports only a few crypto price feeds via currency pairs, which may not include all altcoins).

So tracking a broad crypto portfolio might require using additional functions or external data sources, which gets complicated. There is no automatic account synchronization; every time you make a trade, you must update your sheet. If you’re not careful, formulas can break or data might not load (for instance, Google Finance formulas sometimes return errors for certain ticker symbols or during API issues).

Another consideration is that Google’s portfolio web interface (Google Finance website’s new portfolios) is still relatively basic compared to what you can do in Sheets – some users miss the old Google Finance portfolio tool that was discontinued.

In summary, Google Sheets gives you ultimate flexibility for free, but demands effort and maintenance, making it less user-friendly for those who want a plug-and-play tracker.

4. Investing.com Portfolio

Investing.com is a well-known finance website that offers a free portfolio tracking feature alongside its market data and news. It’s available on the web and as a mobile app. But sign in is required!

Strengths: Investing.com’s portfolio tool is completely free with no upgrades, and it’s quite feature-rich. You can create an unlimited number of portfolios with real-time quotes for your holdings (Portfolio & Watchlist – Investing.com). It supports a wide range of asset classes — stocks, indices, mutual funds, ETFs, commodities, currencies, bonds, and cryptocurrencies are all supported categories.

This means you can track your entire investment spectrum in one place. The interface provides a clear table of your holdings, showing metrics like current price, daily change, total gain, percentage change, etc., for each position and for the portfolio as a whole. You can input transactions (buy/sell) to keep track of cost basis and realized profit/loss as well. Another strength is the global reach: Investing.com has data for markets around the world, so international investors can track foreign stocks or exchanges easily.

The platform also integrates news and analysis; your portfolio view will display relevant news for the companies or assets you hold, and you can set price alerts for your positions. There’s even an option to share a read-only view of your portfolio or to keep it private. Since the service is web-based (with cloud saving under your account), you can log in from any device and see the same data, and the mobile app syncs with the web.

It’s a robust free solution for those who want multi-asset tracking with live data.

Weaknesses: The comprehensive nature of Investing.com’s site means the interface can feel a bit cluttered or overwhelming.

The site is ad-supported, so unless you use an ad-blocker or the paid InvestingPro version (not necessary for portfolio tracking, but offered for extra analysis), you’ll see a lot of advertisements around your portfolio page.

While it has real-time quotes for many assets, some data (like certain exchanges or delayed prices) might refresh every few minutes rather than tick-by-tick. Another drawback is that there’s no direct brokerage integration – all data entry is manual.

You need to update your share counts or transactions whenever you trade, as it won’t auto-fetch from your broker. The manual input is relatively easy but time-consuming for active traders. Additionally, advanced analytics are somewhat limited; the tool gives performance numbers and allocation pie charts, but it won’t do sophisticated portfolio analysis (e.g., risk metrics or retirement projections). Some users have noted that the mobile app, while handy, can be buggy or slower with larger portfolios.

Lastly, privacy-conscious users might be concerned that their portfolio data is stored on Investing.com’s servers (under your login). While this is standard and the data isn’t public, it’s not as privacy-focused as an offline or local solution.

Overall, Investing.com is excellent for basic to intermediate tracking needs, but it’s not a specialized analytics platform and requires manual upkeep.

5. Morningstar Portfolio Manager

Morningstar, known for its investment research and ratings, provides a free Portfolio Manager tool on its website ( Portfolio Manager | Morningstar ). With a Morningstar basic account (free to register), investors can use this tool to track their holdings and leverage some of Morningstar’s analytics.

Strengths: Morningstar’s Portfolio Manager benefits from the company’s deep analytical resources. It allows you to track all your investments in one place for free, including stocks, funds, ETFs, and even pensions or other holdings.

You can create multiple portfolios or watchlists and input your transactions (purchases, sales, etc.) or simply the holdings and cost basis.

One big advantage is access to Morningstar’s data and research insights. The tool can display portfolio performance with Morningstar’s signature metrics and even do a basic “X-Ray” analysis of your portfolio’s asset allocation, sector breakdown, and geographic exposure (some of these features might be limited to premium users, but basic breakdowns are often available).

The interface provides charts of your portfolio’s historical performance and comparisons to benchmarks. You’ll also see Morningstar ratings (for funds) and news or commentary related to your investments right on the dashboard, which is great for staying informed.

Another pro is reliability – Morningstar has been offering this for years, so it’s stable and trusted by many investors. The focus on long-term investing metrics means it’s well-suited for tracking portfolios over time rather than day-trading.

Everything is web-based (with a mobile-friendly site), and because it’s free, you can utilize it without any time limit (Morningstar’s paid “Investor” subscription adds more tools but the basic tracker remains free).

For a retail investor, being able to use Morningstar’s platform to monitor your portfolio and get high-quality data points at no cost is a significant benefit.

Weaknesses: While the Portfolio Manager is free, Morningstar does nudge users toward its premium services. Some advanced tools (like detailed Portfolio X-Ray reports, certain ratings, or analyst research on stocks/funds) require a Morningstar Investor subscription (a paid upgrade).

The free tracker will show you basic performance and maybe a simplified analysis, but you’ll hit a wall if you try to drill down into, say, the finer points of your portfolio’s risk or compare its return vs. detailed benchmarks over custom periods – those often prompt a “premium feature” message.

The user interface, though functional, is also a bit dated and not the most intuitive. It might take some clicks to get to the view you want, and setting up your portfolio initially can be a bit clunky.

There’s no auto-sync with brokerage accounts, so like most free tools, it relies on manual data entry (however, you can import from a spreadsheet in some cases). Because data is stored in the cloud under your account, you have to trust Morningstar with your financial info (the company is reputable in terms of data security, but it’s something to note).

Another minor issue is that real-time price updates might be limited; quotes could be 15-minute delayed for stocks, for example, rather than live tick-by-tick updates.

In summary, Morningstar’s free portfolio tracker is great for basic tracking and a taste of their analytics, but to unlock its full power you’d need a paid plan, and the interface might feel a bit clunky compared to more modern apps.

6. Empower Personal Dashboard (Personal Capital)

source

Empower (formerly Personal Capital) offers the Empower Personal Dashboard, a powerful online tool that is free for anyone to use. It started under the name Personal Capital and is often touted as one of the best free portfolio and wealth tracking apps.

Strengths: Empower’s dashboard is comprehensive – it allows you to aggregate all your financial accounts in one place (6 Popular Software Programs for Portfolio Managers), including brokerage accounts, retirement accounts (401k, IRA), bank accounts, credit cards, and even property or loan accounts.

For investment tracking specifically, it shines in giving you a holistic view of your portfolio across different brokers and account types. By linking your accounts securely, your holdings and transactions are automatically imported, so your portfolio updates itself without manual input. Empower then provides great analytics: you get a clear breakdown of your asset allocation, investment portfolio performance over time, and comparisons to benchmark indices.

One notable feature is the “Investment Checkup”, which analyzes your portfolio’s allocation vs. an ideal target allocation based on your risk (this helps identify if you’re too heavy in one sector, for example).

They also offer tools like a Retirement Planner and Fee Analyzer. The Fee Analyzer, in particular, is a unique strength – it examines your portfolio (especially funds) for hidden fees and shows where you might be overpaying, which is insight many free trackers don’t provide.

The interface (both web and mobile) is very polished and user-friendly, with dashboards and charts that make it easy to track your net worth and investments. And crucially, all these features are free because Empower’s model is to provide the software at no cost while offering optional advisory services.

There are no paid tiers for the software – every user gets the full functionality, which is quite generous for the level of depth provided. If you want a combined personal finance and investment tracker that’s truly free, Empower (Personal Capital) is a top choice.

Weaknesses: The saying “if it’s free, you’re the product” applies in a limited way here. Empower is free, but they make money by offering paid wealth management services, so if you have a significant portfolio, you might get marketing emails or even calls from their advisors.

Some users report that Empower’s financial advisors can be persistent in trying to get you to let them manage your investments (which carries a fee) – “They really want you to let them manage your investments and they call quite a lot trying to entice you” (Money App Review: Personal Capital — Michelle Semones).

While you are not obligated to use their paid services, this sales aspect can be an annoyance. Another consideration is that Empower is best suited for U.S. investors; it connects well to U.S. financial institutions, but international integration is limited. It also focuses on traditional assets (stocks, bonds, funds in your accounts) – if you have cryptocurrency, you can’t directly link most crypto wallets or exchanges to Empower yet, so those might need to be added manually as “other assets,” which won’t update automatically.

In terms of features, Empower’s strength is breadth, but it might not have the very granular control that some specialized trackers have (for example, you can’t manually adjust the price of an asset or create custom groupings beyond what their interface allows). Privacy-conscious individuals might hesitate to link all accounts in one place, though Empower uses strong encryption and security protocols.

Lastly, the tool is overkill if you only want a simple portfolio tracker; it’s more of a full financial dashboard, which can be a bit heavy if all you need is to track a handful of stocks.

In summary, Empower/Personal Capital’s free tool is powerful and convenient, but be ready for some advisory pitches and ensure its scope matches what you need.

7. SigFig Portfolio Tracker

SigFig is a fintech company known for its robo-advisor, but it also provides a free portfolio tracking tool that anyone can use without signing up for the paid investment management. In fact, SigFig originally started as a portfolio tracker (it was once known as Wikinvest) and still offers robust tracking features for free.

Strengths: SigFig’s free portfolio tracker lets you connect your brokerage accounts directly to automatically import your holdings and transactions. It supports many major brokers (like Fidelity, Schwab, TD Ameritrade, Robinhood, etc.), which means once linked, your portfolio updates in real time without manual data entry.

This aggregator approach gives you a unified view of all your investments in one dashboard. A standout feature is SigFig’s analysis of fees and portfolio health. The tracker will analyze your portfolio’s diversification and show if you are over-concentrated in certain areas, and it will identify fees (for example, expense ratios of funds or advisory fees) that you’re paying in your accounts

It then provides recommendations to reduce fees or improve diversification, effectively acting like a free robo-advisor checkup. SigFig’s interface is clean and straightforward, whether on the web or their mobile app.

You get charts of your performance over time, daily movements, and even news about your holdings. Another plus: because SigFig’s main business is managing money as a robo-advisor, they keep the tracking portion free and fully featured to attract users. There are no usage caps or premium versions of the tracker – you can sync unlimited accounts and assets. It’s also worth noting that SigFig’s tracker includes not just stocks and funds but can handle cryptocurrencies if they are in an account it supports (though direct wallet linking isn’t available, any crypto held at, say, Robinhood or other supported brokers would show up).

In summary, SigFig’s free tool provides automatic tracking and basic advice, effectively giving you a personal portfolio monitor at no cost.

Weaknesses: SigFig’s primary focus is on standard investment accounts, so if you have assets outside the supported broker list, you may not be able to auto-sync them (though you can manually add holdings, it’s less convenient).

For example, if your broker isn’t supported or you have crypto in an external wallet, those won’t link up. The range of analytics, while good for a free service, is not extremely deep – you’ll get high-level diversification and fee info, but not highly customizable reports. SigFig’s recommendations are generalized (often suggesting you move to lower-cost index funds, etc.), which some users may find too simplistic or akin to a sales pitch for their robo-advisor.

Additionally, as with any account aggregator, you have to input your login credentials for your financial accounts, which not everyone is comfortable with (SigFig uses encryption and read-only access, but it’s a trust factor to consider).

Another noted issue: SigFig has been around a long time, but it’s not as actively discussed as some competitors, so while it works well, it doesn’t integrate with other personal finance tools, and its development pace seems slower nowadays.

The mobile app, while clean, is not as feature-rich as Empower’s or others—its main goal is to funnel users to consider SigFig’s paid management. Lastly, similar to Personal Capital, if your linked portfolio is sizable, you might get outreach from SigFig’s team suggesting their advisory services (their robo-advisor has a 0.25% fee after the first $10k managed free). However, this is generally less aggressive than Personal Capital’s approach.

In summary, SigFig’s free tracker is excellent for hands-off tracking of multiple accounts, but it’s somewhat limited to what it does (basic analysis) and is tied to SigFig’s broader business of offering to manage your money.

8. getquin

getquin is a newer entrant that has quickly become a favorite for many investors, especially in Europe, looking for a comprehensive free portfolio tracker. It combines elements of social investing with a powerful tracking tool, and importantly it remains free for core features.

Strengths: One of getquin’s biggest strengths is its extensive support for both brokers and asset types. You can securely connect to thousands of financial institutions worldwide – from popular European brokers like Trade Republic or DEGIRO to U.S. brokers like Fidelity and Vanguard – so it automatically syncs your holdings and transactions (getquin Investment Tracker Review: Best Portfolio Tracker for 2025).

This saves time as your portfolio updates itself across stocks, ETFs, and even bank accounts. For assets that can’t be linked, you can add them manually, and getquin supports a broad range: stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, cryptocurrencies (via exchange connections), real estate, commodities, even alternative investments and collectibles.

In other words, you can track virtually any asset in one dashboard. The platform offers real-time price updates and basic analytics for free. You’ll see your net worth over time, portfolio allocation, and performance charts. getquin particularly shines with its community features – there’s a built-in social feed where you can discuss stocks, see aggregated (anonymized) portfolios of other users, and join investment discussions. This makes the experience more engaging and you can get ideas or learn from others.

For dividend investors, getquin has a dividend tracking calendar in the free version, showing upcoming payouts and income summaries, which is a nice touch.

Importantly, getquin’s free tier includes all the essential features: account syncing, tracking, analytics, and community access.

There is a premium option, but it primarily removes ads and adds advanced customization – average investors will find the free version perfectly sufficient. The interface is modern and clean, both on the web and the mobile app.

It’s designed to be user-friendly, making it easy to see your total portfolio value, breakdowns, and even fun statistics. Security-wise, getquin uses encryption and reputable open-banking integrations to link accounts, and you can opt to use it purely with manual entries if you prefer.

Overall, getquin offers a holistic, user-friendly portfolio tracker that covers both stocks and crypto, with a vibrant community – all for free.

Weaknesses: Being a relatively new platform, getquin is still evolving. While it supports many institutions, there might be occasional hiccups with account connections (as with any aggregator) – e.g., if your bank changes its security protocol, syncing might break until getquin updates it. Advanced analytics are somewhat limited on the free plan; for example, comparing your portfolio performance against specific benchmarks or accessing certain detailed historical metrics requires the Premium subscription (around €50/year).

The free version is also ad-supported, meaning you might see some ads or promos in the interface (though they aren’t very intrusive). The community aspect, while a strength, might not appeal to everyone – if you just want a private tracker, the social feed could be unnecessary (though you don’t have to engage with it).

Because getquin tries to do a lot (social network + tracker), some parts of the app can feel a bit cluttered or confusing at first, especially if you’re only used to simpler tools. Additionally, as of now, getquin is used heavily in Europe, so some content (discussions or default settings) might skew towards European investors (for instance, showing prices in EUR by default, or popular EU stocks/funds).

This is not a huge issue since you can customize your currency and it does support U.S. assets fully, but it’s something U.S. users might notice. Lastly, getquin does have a Premium tier; although it’s not needed for the main functionality, very advanced users might feel a bit of FOMO seeing some features locked behind premium (like deeper analytics or an ad-free experience).

However, for the vast majority, the free version truly covers everything necessary, and the core experience is not degraded without premium.

In summary, getquin’s weaknesses are fairly minor: mostly growing pains and optional upgrades – it remains a top free choice if you want both automatic tracking and a community vibe.

9. CoinMarketCap Portfolio Tracker

For cryptocurrency enthusiasts, CoinMarketCap’s portfolio tracker is a go-to option that is entirely free. CoinMarketCap (CMC) is one of the most popular crypto data sites, and its portfolio feature allows users to track their crypto holdings conveniently.

Strengths: Completely free with no premium tier – anyone with a CMC account can use the portfolio tracker with full functionality (10 Best Crypto Portfolio Trackers: Explore Top Free & Paid Trackers ).

It supports over 20,000 cryptocurrencies listed on CoinMarketCap, so you can track everything from Bitcoin and Ethereum down to very obscure altcoins. The tool lets you create multiple portfolios, which is useful if you want to separate, say, a long-term investment portfolio from a trading portfolio.

Data is updated in real-time from CMC’s price feeds, giving you up-to-the-minute valuations of your holdings. You can add transactions (buys/sells) or simply enter total holdings for each coin, and the tracker will calculate your profit/loss and overall portfolio value.

One big advantage is ease of use – the interface is simple and web-based (and also available in the CMC mobile app). There’s no need to connect any wallets if you don’t want; many users prefer not to input private keys anywhere, and CMC respects that by allowing manual entry of amounts.

That said, it also has an import option via public wallet addresses for certain blockchains, meaning you can input your wallet address and CMC will pull the balance for that wallet (useful for tracking cold storage or public wallets).

CoinMarketCap’s tracker also allows basic customization: you can set your local currency for seeing portfolio value, and choose what data columns to display. It’s great for quickly checking your crypto investments alongside the market – since CMC is often open for price checking, having your portfolio on the same site is convenient.

Additionally, CMC’s portfolio is secure and private – it doesn’t require any sensitive info (you can stay anonymous with just an email sign-up) and there are no fees or limits on the number of coins or trades you track. As a bonus, because it’s part of the CMC ecosystem, you get handy extras like coin research pages, news, and watchlists that integrate well with the portfolio tool.

Weaknesses: The CoinMarketCap portfolio tracker is limited to crypto assets only – you can’t track stocks, real estate, or other investments there. It’s built for crypto, so a mixed-asset investor would need a separate tool for non-crypto holdings.

Also, while it handles crypto well, it doesn’t directly connect to exchanges via API in the way some dedicated apps do (there’s no automatic trade import from your exchange account; you either enter transactions manually or import via wallet address). This means if you trade frequently on an exchange, you’ll have to update the portfolio yourself each time, which can be tedious. Another drawback is that CMC’s tracker, being basic, lacks advanced analytics.

You won’t get fancy portfolio performance graphs over time (beyond a simple line chart of total value) or metrics like volatility, Sharpe ratio, etc. – it’s mostly a running tally of your coins and their values. For serious traders, features like setting alerts for portfolio milestones or detailed P/L per trade are absent (CMC focuses on current holdings and overall P/L).

The user interface, while simple, can also feel a bit bare-bones; for instance, there’s no tagging of transactions or breakdown by exchange/account. Some users have reported occasional sync issues when using the wallet address feature (like if CMC doesn’t support a particular token’s blockchain explorer well, it might not update that holding reliably).

However, these cases are relatively rare and typically involve very new or complex tokens. Lastly, because CMC is owned by Binance, some users wonder about data privacy or potential bias (though there’s no clear issue here, it’s mostly speculative concern in the community).

In summary, CoinMarketCap’s tracker is excellent for a crypto-only portfolio, completely free and easy, but it’s not as feature-rich as some dedicated crypto portfolio apps. It’s best for users who want a simple, no-frills overview of their crypto holdings.

10. CoinGecko Portfolio

CoinGecko, another major player in the crypto space, offers a free portfolio tracker that rivals CoinMarketCap’s. It’s available on CoinGecko’s website and through their mobile app, allowing crypto investors to monitor their assets without any cost.

Strengths: Extensive coverage of digital assets – CoinGecko tracks over 14,000 cryptocurrencies (10 Best Crypto Portfolio Trackers: Explore Top Free & Paid Trackers), so you can add just about any coin or token to your portfolio.

The portfolio feature is straightforward and, like CMC’s, entirely free to use for all basic functionality. You can manage multiple portfolios if needed and get real-time price updates for your holdings. CoinGecko’s interface is clean, and it provides useful data points like 24h and 7d changes for each coin, your holding’s current value, and total profit/loss.

A notable advantage is that CoinGecko’s core portfolio tracking features have no paywall – you can use them without subscribing, which means you can update your portfolio and see live prices and basic analytics without spending anything. (CoinGecko has introduced an optional Premium/Plus subscription, but that’s mostly for extra content and some advanced features, not for the basic portfolio tracking.)

The platform also offers some unique features: for instance, you can add crypto holdings as well as NFT holdings (CoinGecko has an NFT tracker as well), giving a broader view if you dabble in NFTs. CoinGecko excels in providing reliable, aggregated market data, so your portfolio reflects a consensus price across exchanges, which is useful for less-liquid tokens.

Another strength is that it works well across devices – the mobile app is highly rated and allows you to check your portfolio on the go, even setting price alerts for specific coins. Privacy is also a plus; you don’t even need an account if you use the local portfolio (data saved in your browser or app storage), though having an account helps sync across devices.

And because CoinGecko is an independent data provider (not owned by an exchange), many users trust its neutrality and commitment to the crypto community.

In summary, CoinGecko’s free portfolio tracker is robust, covering all your crypto with real-time data, and it’s very accessible for beginners and seasoned investors alike.

Weaknesses: Like any crypto-only tracker, CoinGecko’s tool won’t manage traditional assets (stocks, etc.), so it’s not a one-stop solution if you need multi-asset tracking. Its focus is on current holdings rather than deep performance analysis – it will show your holdings’ value changes, but if you’re looking for advanced metrics (IRR, or detailed trade-by-trade P/L reports), you might find it lacking.

CoinGecko recently added premium tiers, which raised some concern that over time certain features might get paywalled.

For now, the basic portfolio is free, but advanced charting or data exports might require a subscription in the future (currently, premium offers things like an ad-free experience, more advanced coin metrics, etc., not essential for simple tracking).

Another potential downside: no exchange API integrations for auto-sync – you must manually input your coin holdings or use wallet addresses. This is the same limitation as CMC’s tracker; active traders will have to update their CoinGecko portfolio whenever they trade on an exchange. Some users also report that the UI could be improved: for example, it doesn’t allow custom groupings of assets or annotations on transactions.

If you hold many coins, the list can become long, and there’s limited flexibility in how to sort or view sub-totals (you can filter by portfolio but not create categories within a portfolio). Additionally, price updates are real-time, but portfolio value updates might slightly lag if you have the app open for a long time (a refresh usually fixes that).

Lastly, while CoinGecko is generally very accurate with data, in the fast-changing crypto world there can occasionally be pricing glitches or delays for very new or low-cap tokens. These are typically resolved quickly, but during those moments your portfolio might show odd values.

Overall, CoinGecko’s portfolio tracker is a fantastic free tool for crypto, with minor inconveniences mostly around automation and advanced analysis, which serious traders might supplement with other apps. For a no-cost overview of your crypto holdings, it remains one of the best choices.

Conclusion

All the above portfolio trackers let you monitor your investments without paying a cent. The best choice depends on your needs.

For a simple, free, and privacy-focused approach where you keep data local, PortfolioTracker24 or a custom Google Sheet work well. Both do not require email signup.

If you want stocks and crypto in one place with account syncing, getquin or Empower Personal Dashboard are excellent.

Those heavily into crypto can opt for CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko for an easy overview.

And classic tools like Yahoo Finance or Morningstar serve investors who prefer straightforward stock and fund tracking.

Ever feel like you’re drowning in AI news? One day ChatGPT is the hottest thing, the next day it’s Claude or Gemini or whatever shiny new model just dropped. Meanwhile, you’re still trying to figure out how to actually use these tools to get more done in less time.

Here’s the thing most people miss: AI isn’t about keeping up with the latest models.

It’s about finding small, practical ways to improve your workflow every single day.

Think about it. If you could improve your productivity by just 1% each day, what would that look like over a year? Thanks to the magic of compounding, that’s not a 365% improvement—it’s a mind-blowing 3,778% increase! That’s right, small daily improvements don’t add up—they multiply.

This is why I’ve become obsessed with finding AI newsletters that don’t just regurgitate tech news but actually deliver actionable tips you can implement immediately. The kind of tips that might save you 10 minutes today, 30 minutes tomorrow, and eventually hours every week.

I’ve subscribed to dozens of AI newsletters (so you don’t have to), and I’m cutting through the noise to bring you the 10 that actually deliver practical value. These aren’t just random picks—they’re the newsletters that have genuinely helped me and thousands of others transform our productivity through consistent, applicable AI advice.

At the top of my list? Finxter’s Daily AI Tips Newsletter—a game-changer that’s helped me implement those crucial 1% improvements day after day. But I’ll also cover nine other stellar options that might better fit your specific needs.

Let’s dive in and find the perfect AI productivity companion for your inbox.

1. Finxter Daily AI Tips Newsletter: Your Daily 1% Productivity Boost

Subscribers: 160,000+
Frequency: Daily
Cost: Free

Subscribe here (100% free)

Look, I’m not going to sugarcoat this—Finxter’s newsletter changed my life. And I don’t say that lightly.

While everyone else is busy debating whether AGI will take over the world by 2030, Finxter is sending me practical tips I can use TODAY to get more done in less time. It’s like having a productivity coach who happens to be an AI expert in your inbox every morning.

Example Newsletter

What makes Finxter stand out is their laser focus on small, implementable improvements. They understand that productivity isn’t about massive overhauls—it’s about tiny tweaks that compound over time. Each daily tip might only save you 5-10 minutes, but implement these consistently and suddenly you’re saving hours every week.

Their tips range from clever prompt engineering techniques to automate repetitive tasks, to Python scripts that can eliminate hours of manual work, to AI tool combinations I would never have thought of myself.

For example, one recent tip showed how to use ChatGPT to analyze your writing patterns and create a custom style guide—then use that guide with another AI tool to ensure all your content maintains a consistent voice. Brilliant stuff that took me maybe 15 minutes to implement but saves me hours of editing time every month.

What I love most is that Finxter doesn’t assume you’re a tech genius. Their explanations are clear, their examples are practical, and they never make you feel stupid for not knowing something. It’s like learning from a smart friend rather than a condescending tech bro.

The Rundown has exploded in popularity, and for good reason. Founded by Rowan Cheung, this newsletter cuts through the noise to deliver AI updates that actually impact how you work.

What I appreciate about The Rundown is their ruthless filtering. They don’t waste your time with every minor update to every AI tool—they focus on developments that could genuinely change your workflow. Their “3 Things You Can Use Today” section at the end of each newsletter is pure gold for productivity hunters.

With over 650,000 subscribers, Superhuman AI has clearly struck a chord. Created by Zain Kahn (aka “The AI Guy”), this newsletter focuses on practical ways to leverage AI in your career.

What sets Superhuman apart is their step-by-step guides. Rather than just telling you about a cool AI tool, they walk you through exactly how to use it to solve specific problems. Their recent guide on using Claude to replicate your writing style was a game-changer for my content creation process.

The newsletter strikes a nice balance between news, tools, and tutorials. Each edition takes about 3 minutes to read but often delivers insights that can save you hours of work.

Subscribers: 100,000+
Frequency: Daily (Quick Bites) and Weekly (Deep Dives)
Cost: Free, with paid option

Ben Tossell’s newsletter stands out for its no-nonsense approach to AI. Ben started this newsletter to learn more about AI for his own projects, and that practical focus shines through.

What I love about Ben’s Bites is the dual format: daily “Quick Bites” for essential updates and weekly deep dives for more comprehensive analysis. The daily emails are perfect for busy professionals who need to stay informed without getting overwhelmed.

Ben excels at finding practical use cases for new AI tools. Rather than just announcing a new tool’s existence, he shows you exactly how it might fit into your workflow. His breakdown of AI tools for data analysis saved me countless hours on a recent project.

The writing style is refreshingly straightforward—Ben doesn’t waste time with hype or jargon. He gets straight to the point, respecting your time and intelligence.

If you’re perpetually short on time but still want to stay informed about AI, Mindstream might be your perfect match. Co-founded by Adam Biddlecombe, this newsletter promises AI updates in just 5 minutes a day.

What makes Mindstream special is their focus on productivity tricks. Each newsletter includes a walkthrough of how Adam is using a new AI tool in his own workflow. These aren’t theoretical use cases—they’re real examples from someone who’s actually implementing these tools daily.

I’ve found their AI tool recommendations particularly valuable. They seem to have a knack for finding lesser-known tools that solve specific problems better than the big-name alternatives. Their recommendation of a specialized AI writing assistant for technical documentation saved me hours of frustration.

Subscribers: 500,000+
Frequency: Daily
Cost: Free

TLDR AI does exactly what the name suggests—it distills complex AI developments into short, easy-to-understand summaries. This is particularly valuable in the AI space, where academic papers and technical announcements can be impenetrable to non-specialists.

What I appreciate about TLDR AI is how they translate technical breakthroughs into practical implications. They don’t just tell you that a new language model has improved performance on certain benchmarks—they explain how this might change the tools you use daily.

Their summaries of academic papers have been especially valuable for me. They extract the key insights from dense research without dumbing it down too much. This has helped me stay ahead of AI trends without spending hours wading through technical jargon.

Subscribers: 425,000+
Frequency: Daily
Cost: Free

Created by Northwestern students Pete Huang and Noah Edelman, The Neuron has quickly gained a reputation for high-quality AI content without the fluff. Their tagline—”all signal, no noise”—perfectly captures their approach.

What sets The Neuron apart is their balanced coverage. They don’t just focus on the latest ChatGPT update or the newest image generator—they provide a comprehensive view of the AI landscape, including developments that might fly under the radar of other newsletters.

I’ve found their detailed breakdowns of industry news particularly helpful for understanding the broader implications of AI developments. Their analysis of recent AI regulation proposals helped me understand how these changes might affect my work in ways I hadn’t considered.

AI Breakfast offers a slightly different approach from the daily quick-hit newsletters. With three issues per week, they go deeper into each topic they cover.

What I appreciate about AI Breakfast is their focus on the global impact of AI. They don’t just cover new tools and features—they explore how AI is transforming industries and societies worldwide. This broader perspective helps me think more strategically about how AI might affect my field in the long term.

Their coverage includes relevant news stories and research papers to back up their analysis, which I find refreshingly thorough in an era of hot takes and superficial coverage.

The writing style is thoughtful and nuanced, perfect for readers who want to develop a deeper understanding of AI trends rather than just skimming the surface.

If you’ve ever spent 20 minutes trying to get an AI tool to understand exactly what you want, you know that prompt engineering is a crucial skill. Prompt Engineering Daily, founded by Aadit Sheth, focuses specifically on this vital aspect of AI productivity.

What makes this newsletter valuable is its practical approach to prompting. Each issue includes prompt tutorials you can immediately apply to your work. I’ve saved countless hours by implementing their prompting techniques with tools like ChatGPT and Claude.

The newsletter also covers machine learning news and tool recommendations, but always with a focus on how you can apply these developments to your daily work.
Rounding out our list is Future Tools, a newsletter focused on emerging AI tools that can transform your workflow. Founded by Matt Wolfe, this newsletter has a knack for spotting useful tools before they hit the mainstream.

What I love about Future Tools is their categorization. They organize AI tools by use case—productivity, generative art, copywriting, code generation, and more—making it easy to find solutions for your specific needs.

The weekly frequency is perfect for this type of content. Rather than overwhelming you with daily tool recommendations, they curate a manageable selection each week, giving you time to actually try them out.

I’ve discovered several game-changing tools through this newsletter, including an AI detection tool that has become essential for my content creation process and a generative code tool that has dramatically accelerated my development workflow.

The Compound Effect of Daily AI Tips

After reading through these newsletters, you might be tempted to subscribe to all of them. I get it—FOMO is real, especially when it comes to staying ahead with AI. But remember what we talked about at the beginning: the power of small, consistent improvements.

You don’t need to read every AI newsletter out there. You need one (or maybe two) that consistently deliver actionable tips you’ll actually implement. Because a tip you don’t use is just digital clutter.

This is why I put Finxter at the top of the list. Their daily format and focus on small, implementable improvements embodies that 1% better philosophy. Each tip builds on the last, creating a compound effect that can transform your productivity over time.

Think about it this way: If you implement just one 1% improvement each workday, by the end of the year, you’ll be 1.01^250 = 12x more productive. That’s not just an incremental gain—it’s a life-changing transformation in how much you can accomplish.

So pick the newsletter that resonates with you, commit to implementing one tip each day, and watch as those small improvements compound into massive productivity gains. Your future self will thank you.

Which newsletter will you choose to fuel your daily 1% improvements?

Taylor Swift’s wealth comes from multiple sources in the music industry. Her success in album sales, tours, and streaming has made her one of the richest musicians in the world.

Music Sales and Album Performance

Swift’s album sales have been huge. Her first album, “Taylor Swift,” sold over 7 million copies worldwide. Later albums did even better. “Fearless” sold 12 million copies. “1989” topped that with 14 million sales.

Swift’s albums often break records. “Midnights” sold over 3 million copies in its first week. This made it the fastest-selling album of 2022.

Her music sales add a lot to her net worth. Each hit album brings in millions of dollars.

Concert Tours Revenue

Tours are a big money-maker for Swift. Her “Reputation Stadium Tour” in 2018 was a massive hit. It made $345.7 million, breaking the record for highest-grossing U.S. tour.

The “1989 World Tour” in 2015 was also huge. It earned $250.7 million.

Swift’s “Eras Tour” in 2023 is expected to be her biggest yet. Some think it could make over $1 billion.

Concert revenue is a key part of Swift’s income. Each tour adds tens or hundreds of millions to her wealth.

Streaming Royalties

Streaming has become a big part of Swift’s earnings. Her music gets billions of plays on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

In 2022, Swift was Spotify’s second most-streamed artist globally. She had over 23.8 billion streams that year.

Streaming adds millions to Swift’s income each year. While the exact amount isn’t public, it’s likely in the tens of millions.

Swift’s move to re-record her old albums has boosted her streaming income. She now owns these new versions, earning more from each play.

Endorsements and Sponsorships

Taylor Swift makes big money from brand deals and fashion partnerships. These add millions to her bank account each year.

Brand Partnerships

Taylor Swift has teamed up with major companies to boost her income. She’s worked with Coca-Cola, promoting Diet Coke in commercials and events. This deal alone was worth millions.

Apple Music also partnered with Swift. She starred in funny ads for the streaming service. These spots showed her workout mishaps while listening to music.

Swift has also promoted Keds shoes. She designed her own line of sneakers for the brand. This deal helped her connect with young fans and make more cash.

Capital One is another big name on Swift’s list. She appears in their credit card ads, bringing her star power to banking.

Fashion Collaborations

Swift’s fashion deals add even more to her wealth from endorsements. She’s worked with top clothing brands to create her own styles.

Her partnership with Stella McCartney was a hit. They made a clothing line inspired by Swift’s “Lover” album. Fans could buy tees, hoodies, and bags with Swift’s lyrics.

Swift also had a deal with Cornetto ice cream. She designed cute outfits for their ads in Asia. This helped her reach more fans overseas.

Recently, Swift collabed with Vogue. She appeared on magazine covers and in fashion spreads. This keeps her in the style spotlight and boosts her fashion cred.

Business Ventures and Investments

Taylor Swift has expanded her empire beyond music. She’s made smart business moves and invested in real estate to grow her wealth.

Record Label and Production Company

Swift started her own record label, Republic Records, in 2018. This gave her more control over her music and a bigger cut of profits. She also formed a production company called Taylor Swift Productions. These ventures let her make money from other artists and projects.

Swift has been smart about keeping the rights to her work. She re-recorded her old albums to own the new versions. This move was both artistic and financial. It helped her make more money from her back catalog.

Real Estate Holdings

Swift owns several high-value properties across the U.S. Her real estate portfolio includes:

A penthouse in New York City

A mansion in Rhode Island

Multiple homes in Nashville

A house in Beverly Hills

These properties are worth millions. They’re not just homes, but investments that grow in value over time. Swift has shown she’s good at picking prime locations that increase in worth.

Her real estate choices reflect her business smarts. She buys in areas likely to go up in value. This adds to her net worth without relying only on music income.

Media Appearances and Acting Roles

Taylor Swift has made her mark in both film and television. She’s also become a regular guest on talk shows, sharing insights into her life and career with fans.

Film and Television Presence

Swift’s acting career began with a guest spot on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” in 2009. She later appeared in the romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day” in 2010. Her most notable film role came in 2019 with the movie musical “Cats.”

Swift also voiced a character in the animated film “The Lorax” in 2012. In 2022, she directed and starred in the short film “All Too Well,” based on her song of the same name.

On TV, Swift has hosted “Saturday Night Live” twice and made cameo appearances on shows like “New Girl.”

Talk Shows and Interviews

Swift is a frequent guest on popular talk shows. She’s been interviewed by Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon, and Graham Norton, among others.

These appearances often coincide with new album releases or tours. Swift uses these platforms to promote her work and connect with fans.

She’s known for her candid and humorous interviews. Swift often shares personal stories and behind-the-scenes glimpses of her life as a pop star.

Her talk show visits sometimes include performances of her latest hits. These appearances help boost her album sales and tour ticket sales.

Music Rights and Publishing

Taylor Swift’s wealth comes largely from her music. She owns her songs and gets paid when they’re played or used. This gives her a big advantage in the music business.

Ownership of Masters

Taylor Swift now owns the master recordings of her newer albums. This means she gets more money when her songs are used in movies, TV shows, or ads. It also lets her control how her music is used.

She re-recorded her old albums to own those versions too. This smart move helps her make even more money from her past hits.

Songwriting Royalties

Swift writes or co-writes most of her songs. This means she gets paid every time one of her songs is played on the radio, streamed online, or performed live by other artists.

Her songwriting skills have won her many awards. These awards help her songs become more popular, which leads to more royalties.

Swift’s publishing deals also bring in a lot of money. These deals give her a share of the profits from her songwriting.

Philanthropy and Charitable Giving

Taylor Swift isn’t just known for her music – she’s also big on giving back. The pop star has donated to many causes over the years.

Swift has given money to help with disaster relief. When floods hit Louisiana in 2016, she donated $1 million to help those affected.

She’s also supported education. Swift gave $50,000 to the New York City public schools in 2015. This money came from sales of her song “Welcome to New York.”

The singer cares about fighting hunger too. She’s worked with food banks and given meals to people in need.

Swift has helped individual fans as well. She’s paid for medical bills and college tuition for some of her supporters who were struggling.

LGBTQ+ rights are another cause Swift backs. She’s spoken up for equality and given to organizations that support LGBTQ+ people.

While the exact amount isn’t known, it’s clear Swift gives a good chunk of her fortune to charity. Her giving shows she wants to use her wealth to make a difference.

Public Perception and Influence

Swift uses her fame to speak up about issues. She talks about women’s rights and encourages fans to vote. This makes her more than just a singer to many people.
